Rear Door Seal

The problem with the rear 1/3 door is that in dusty environment’s it seems to suck dust into the door.

Ineos did make some effort to seal the door up around the plastic trip and handle, but in my view this seems to be trying gloss over the main problem.

And that is the door restraint.

If you stick you head around this area and have a poke about, you will see this hole feeds the inside of the door directly.

And long with the drain holes along the bottom of the door the dust seems to be getting sucked into this space.

Now on my last adventure I noticed this pretty quickly, and put some duct tape over the drainage holes along the bottom of the door, and shaped up some foam for the door restraint area.

Now we have something on test this is a bit less MacGyver .

I will still be putting the tape over the drain holes when on a dusty track, but the seal we have around the door restraint area is a bit more ” built for purpose” .

This will be a good to pair with our jack relocation plate if you often go onto dusty tracks like we have in Australia.

I will release this as soon as I have done testing and are happy with the results.
